Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee

I love coffee.  I drink it every morning.  With cream.  And sugar.

So, when I saw The Pioneer Woman's Perfect Iced Coffee post, I was ecstatic!

Texas gets hot in the summer.  In fact, it's already hot.  90s in the afternoon and 70s for our lows.  I know some people who can drink hot coffee year round.  I can't. It makes me too hot.  I sweat.  That isn't lady-like.

This is the perfect solution!

I had some Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spice coffee left over from Christmas.  I didn't like it much by itself, or hot, for that matter.

Notice that it isn't quite 1 pound.  But, I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to coffee.  I like it sweetened and weak.  I bet this will be just perfect.

Pour all the coffee into a large container.  Then, cover with 2 gallons of cold water.  Put the lid on the container and let steep for about 8 hours.

At this point, I cannot wait to try this wonderful stuff!  This sat on the counter all night, and, not one time, did maintenance man ask what it was.

This morning, I strained the coffee from the grounds.

I used a mesh strainer and some paper towels.  I searched all over this itty bitty town, and could not find cheese cloth anywhere.  Now, I think, this scene might have raised some questions, had maintenance man been home.  lol

Once it was all strained, I filled my glass with ice, and poured some in.  I added some half and half. What?!?  Did I say something about being on a diet?  No, not me. And some sugar.

Mmmm.  Then, I enjoyed.  A perfect caffeinated treat for a hot, Texas morning.

    2. Thanks! That would be so good. I think that we actually have some dunkin donuts coffee, but at the moment all I can find is a little bit of gloria jeans hazelnut. I don't know if I'll be able to wait the 8 hours though. loll.
