Boys will be boys

Riley and Kolby are outside catching pill bugs or rolly pollies what ever you call them. They're some of the biggest bugs I've ever seen!
I often think that boys are taken,in utero, to a special class to teach them certain things. All boys are fasinated by bugs, know how to make truck sounds and how to pull pony tails. Oh yeah and how to make a gun out of anything; fingers, sticks, you name it. It always goes along with the 'pfft' or 'pow' sound effect. Where do they get it?!?
I am a girl with two sisters and only know about girl things so all this boy stuff eludes me. But, bless their hearts, they think I'm just as interested in the little pill bugs as they are. So I do what any great mom would do; I look in their bowl from a distance and smile and say "that's wonderful,Darling."

Thoughts for the weekend

Well, good news on the sleep thing..My mom came and got Riley on Tuesday. Slept in, YAY..got some good sleep. Had the girls over Tuesday night for grilling and some beer. Had a great time.
Hubby is coming home tonight! I'm so ready to see him! He has been gone since last Thursday. Way too long.
My niece is graduating high school tonight. I absolutely cannot believe that she is old enough to be graduating. But she has done a great job.
I guess the weekend plans will be trying to mow our back yard. The grass was so high before, but on Tuesday, we received over 5 inches of rain! It's a jungle out there. My puppy gets lost; the grass is so high.

So Tired..Must Have Sleep

My Riley has decided that he doesn't need to sleep anymore. :( He fights sleep until well after 11 PM, then up like an alarm clock at 7AM. Then we spend at least 2 hours fight his nap. I turn the TV off, he turns it back on, I cover him up, he uncovers himself. This has been going on for the last week. I'm tired and very grumpy. I know it has to do with hubby being gone for work, but ahhhh.... I've already told Dear Hubby that when he gets home, Riley is all his! LOL.

Me and the Little Boys

It's just me and the little ones this weekend. My husband is in DFW working and my big ones are in DFW with the band for their end of school trip to Six Flags. I think they were going to try to take in a Ranger's game too. How fun does that sound?
We can't do much today...it's raining. Forecast said no rain for 7 days..I should have known better.

My baby started work

It's unbelievable that my first born could ever be old enough to have a job.  But, he started at the Dairy Queen last night.  He wants some extra money.  He has started Insanity© too to bulk up. So he told me this morning that he was going to buy a pair of Nike© to help support him.  Says his Converse© do not have enough support.  So now, we need to head to the DMV to get his driver's permit. AHH too much at once!  I'm not getting old, I'm not getting old....

It's pure Insanity©!

The jury is still out whether or not I like the Insanity© workout or not. I am feeling better and stronger. But I tell you that Shaun T is ceraazzzyy! I had to skip yesterday's workout due to horrible weather. Tornado warnings with tornadoes sited. It was the first time in a long time that I was actually scared during a storm. All is well, thank God, just a few messy yards and some telephone poles not quite upright.
Tomorrow starts Riley's first day of homeschool. We will learn all about Cows. I am excited, but I'm not too sure how he will feel about it. LOL..more later

My Life is Full of Poop

Literally....I have 3 puppies harbored in my bathroom at night. What a mess! I spend the morning disinfecting my floors, shower, and toilet. No fun for me. And trying to get rid of puppies is a lot harder than 'they' let on! I can't even get the local Animal Control Officer to come get them! AHHHH....

On top of that, my Riley is refusing to poop in the potty. He teetees like a champ, but will not and I repeat WILL NOT poop in the potty. He is so hard to train. He doesn't have a schedule, he won't tell me, ask for a Pull-up...none of the suggestions that have been given me. So, I get to clean pair after pair of underwear. I tried one suggestion given to me: to let Riley help clean up the mess...only problem with that? Riley LOVES the water, so it was fun for him. blech.
